    I am Dr. Julie Fernandes, I hold a clinical doctorate in Occupational Therapy since 2015. Over the years I have transitioned from hospital based medical care to life coaching for moms because I feel that there is a big gap in how we approach maternal mental health in today’s society. I am originally from South Africa but now I live in the United States with my husband and three young children and I have had to learn to navigate motherhood and parenting without any extended family or the familiar networks I grew up with or would have if I lived in my country of origin. I view any and all of these challenges as opportunities to grow, develop and test out the systems I will share with you today. I'm also the host of The Confident Parenting Podcast and have a YouTube channel where I dive further into this topics.
